This illustrated book gives an account of God’s Story highlighting the ecological handiwork of the Creator in Genesis 1-11. Each narrative is accompanied by a commentary containing practical application and the significance of God’s work throughout history.

This Bible Storying initiative was born out of God’s leading, years of missiological research, and the necessity to make God’s Story available to indigenous tribal peoples who do not have the ability to read. This illustrated book contains the first set of oral stories currently being shared in Maharashtra, India.

Local storytellers are trained in Bible storying to be equipped for sharing God’s story in a way familiar to their community (context). Bible storying is being used in both evangelistic outreach and as a discipleship tool among the oral cultures where churches have been planted.

Dr. Stelly is a retired Marine Officer turned missiologist and Christian educator. His educational background is in both science (BS Renewable Natural Resources Ecology & Management, MS Environmental Policy & Management) and ministry (MA Christian Ministry w/ concentration in Creation Apologetics; Doctor of Intercultural Studies). Along with teaching at the Secondary & Undergraduate levels, Dr. Stelly has pastored in the local church and partnered in church-planting and discipleship efforts among indigenous peoples in India. He currently resides with his family in East Asia as they walk out the calling that the Lord has given them among the nations.
